Xiaomi Mi A1 gets permanent price cut in India; now available via Flipkart, Mi.com

Xiaomi has announced a permanent price cut for the Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone in India. The device receives a discount of Rs 1000 and will now be available at a price of Rs 13,999 in Black, Gold and Rose Gold color variants via Flipkart. The Xiaomi Mi A1 was originally launched in September at a price of Rs 14,999.

Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain made the announcement via Twitter and said, “Great news Mi Fans: announcing a permanent price drop of Rs 1000 on Mi A1! #MiA1: picture perfect flagship dual camera phone. Now available for a perfect price of Rs 13,999! Buy it from http://Mi.com and @Flipkart.”

Last week, as a part of the Flipkart Big Shopping Days Sale, the e-commerce portal was offering a discount on the Xiaomi Mi A1. The device, which was launched at a price of Rs 14,999 received a discount of Rs 2000 and was available for Rs 12,999.

In terms of specifications, the device features a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 64GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

Running Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box, the smartphone includes a 12MP+12MP camera with a telephoto and a wide angle lens along with a 5MP front-facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port. A 3,080mAh battery completes the package.
