Xiaomi introduces Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro in India: Price, specifications and more

Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 in India today at an event in New Delhi. The 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999 while the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 11,999. It will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Blue and Black color variants.

Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 in India today at an event in New Delhi. The 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999 while the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 11,999. It will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Blue and Black color variants. It will go on sale beginning 22nd February, exclusively via Flipkart and Mi.com.

In terms of specifications, the device features a 5.99-inch screen along with an 18:9 Full View display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor, and is available in 3G B/4GB RAM variants. It comes equipped with a 12 MP rear camera and an aperture of f/2.2 along with a 5 MP front-facing camera with a front-facing LED flash. A 4000mAh battery completes the package.

Additionally, Xiaomi also unveiled the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 13,999 while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 16,999. Similar to the Redmi Note 5, the Note 5 Pro has a full-screen display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor along with a 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup and a 20MP front facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor. Xiaomi is said to use pixel binning and Beautify 4.0 to ensure perfect selfies. Both smartphones include connectivity features such as dual-SIM 4G VoLTE capability, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
