VIDEO: LG V30 to offer premium audio features and high-end camera; to launch on August 31

LG has dropped a new TVC ad for the upcoming V30 smartphone centered around the audio capabilities. The video is essentially a mash up of users listening to different genres of music ranging from club to classical. It has the same logo acting as a visual equalizer, something that we have seen in previously leaked images of LG V30.

The 20-second long LG video is titled “The next V: Immersive sound” and was posted by the company earlier this week. LG has made quite a name for delivering high-performance media features in V series smartphone and thus the company is showing it off on its yet to be announced smartphone. As the trend is, smartphone makers now tend to created hype and tease the device in bits and pieces ahead of official announcement. OnePlus posted a similar video showcasing OnePlus 5′s audio quality in video recording done on the smartphone.

According to the Android Headlines report, all the models of the LG V30 will be equipped with a dedicated quad DAC (Digital to Audio Converter) chip. The DAC chip has been featured on previous LG V series smartphones as well and is said to improve both the music playback quality and improved audio recording with reduced noise levels. LG launched the V20 with quad DAC chip that is claimed to reduce ambient noise by 50 percent. 

In terms of specification, LG V30 will likely sport a 6-inch FullVision P-OLED display, with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone will come with 64GB of internal storage and is likely to support storage expansion via microSD card. 

Based on the leaks, we learned that the LG V30 will sport dual rear cameras. LG also recently shed light on the optics, it a lens of f/1.6 aperture, the highest ever on any smartphone. It has rear mounted fingerprint scanner positioned beneath the twin camera. Other rumored features include fast charging support and Bluetooth 5.0. LG V30 is expected to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and is said to go official at the IFA 2017 in Berlin.
