Twitter Likes and RTs down? Users fume as they lose number of retweets and likes on tweets

Many Twitter users were complaining of losing 'retweets and likes' on their tweets on the microblogging platform. Several users tweeted their frustration over the drop in the number of retweets and likes on their old tweets.

According to several users, they suddenly realised that Twitter was less 'retweets and likes; their tweets. It seemed to be a global phenomenon. Many asked whether it was a 'bug' in Twitter's systeam or a crackdown on retweets or like from fake accounts.

Twitter has not reacted to these complaints so far. Twitter has 236 million active monthly users worldwide. While it’s not yet clear how many users are affected with this issue, it has resulted in enough of outcry for Twitter to worry about.

If it is a bug, then it will the second big malfunction this month. Earlier, this month a Twitter bug has confused the Twitterati by showing them retweets from ‘random’ people on their timeline.
