Nokia 5 and Nokia 8 smartphone prices have been slashed in India. The Nokia 5, for the 3GB RAM variant, which was earlier launched at Rs 13,499, is now available at Rs 12,499 in India. Additionally, Nokia 8, which was earlier priced at Rs 36,999, is now priced at Rs 28,999.

Prices in India have been slashed, ahead of Mobile world Congress (MWC), which will take place from February 26 in Barcelona. The company expected to reveal new smartphones.
Nokia 5
The Nokia 5 includes a 5.2-inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB. It comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera.
Running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, the device includes connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a USB type C-port. A 3,000mAh battery completes the package.
Nokia 8
In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports a 5.3-inch IPS 2K display and uses Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with expandable memory via microSD card up to 256GB.
Running Android Nougat 7.1.1, the smartphone includes a ZEISS powered dual camera setup - 13MP primary RGB (color) sensor along with a 13MP monochrome (black and white) sensor which helps in low-light photography.
The device will also be the first to sport a 'Bothie', a feature which allows a user to use both the front and rear cameras to record an image or a video. It also includes a 13MP front-facing camera. A 3,090mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support completes the package.
