Computer science graduate Nathan Gitter from Washington University has created an eyebrow-controlled game called Rainbrow for the new iPhone X. The game uses the TrueDepth system, to detect the user's face position, topology and facial expressions. The app is now available via the App Store.

Gamers can use their eyebrows to move an emoji face up and down the screen to collect stars, while avoiding other emojis. MacRumours explains that if gamers raise their eyebrows, and keep them raised, the emoji will continue to move in an upwards direction, and vice versa when maintaining a frowning expression.

There are no levels in the game but it does get difficult as you play the game. At the moment, players can only compete against themselves but, Gitter reportedly has plans to integrate Apple's Game Center for multiplayer competition in a future update. Gitter also stated that he believes there is a lot of future potential for face-based apps, especially for those that improve accessibility, pointed out the report.
