Reliance Jio is reportedly, gearing up to launch its JioFiber broadband by Diwali this year. It is speculated that the company will offer 100GB data at a mere price of Rs 500. The company’s inaugural pricing is said to disrupt the home broadband market.

At the moment, incumbent operators like Airtel and BSNL are offering half the data at almost double the price. Additionally, the speed under Jio Fiber is expected to be a minimum of 10mbps. Post 100GB data cap, users will continue to get 1 mbps speed.

Economic Times quoted an anonymous source, “The company is identifying mega clusters such as high-rise residential apartments and commercial establishments as a part of its phase-II expansion programme to connect 100 locations by December.” The JioFiber network will be rolled out in at least 10 large cities, including all metros. It will also be rolled out to Delhi's satellite towns of Noida and Gurgaon.

Recently, Reliance Jio’s official Twitter handle stated that the JioFiber Preview Offer was being offered on a trial basis in selected cities. Rumours also suggested that Jio would offer complimentary access to JioFibre services for 90 days.

Reliance Jio is also rumoured to launch a few surveillance products which will include a smart camera, smart doorbell, smart lock and chime alarm which can all be controlled by the user's smartphone respectively.
