The Nokia 6 (2018) smartphone is now available in India for a price of Rs 16,999. The device was launched earlier this week along with the Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 8 Sirocco. The device will be available via the Nokia Mobile Shop and select mobile outlets such as Sangeetha Mobiles, Poorvika Mobiles, Big C, Croma and Reliance Digital. However, the device will not be able via online retailers such as Flipkart or Amazon India. It will be available in three colour variants - Black/Copper, White/Iron and Blue/Gold.

Airtel users can get a cashback of up to Rs 2000 as a part of the ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative. This brings the price down to Rs 14,999. Also, ICICI bank users can get an extra 5 percent cashback on buying the smartphone by May 31. Lastly, customers who purchase the device will also get 25 percent discount on MakeMyTrip domestic hotel bookings along with a complimentary 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance from Servify on opening and activating a Kotak 811 savings account respectively.
In terms of specifications, the device features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a full-HD display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It will be offered in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB, and is upgradable via a microSD card slot up to 128GB.
The smartphone comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and a dual-tone LED flash. It also includes an 8MP front-facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS and USB Type-C. A 3,000mAh battery completes the package.
It isn’t a huge upgrade from the Nokia 6 (2017), but is yet offered at a competitive price. The device features a 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Running Android Nougat out-of-the-box, it is backed up by a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone was well received after its initial release in the Chinese market and managed to garner 250,000 pre-orders within the first 24 hours.
