Tech giant Google is releasing an update on its Google Assistant platform, which will enable users to set music alarms via voice commands. Starting today, Google will enable users to command Assistant to wake them up with a song of their choice, The Verge reported.

To set an alarm to music, a user can download any song of their choice, which has been downloaded and stored on their device. A command may then be issued to Assistant to set an alarm for the required time with the song of their choice, thereby enabling them to wake up to an artist, song, or playlist of their preference.

Google said the alarms will work with any music service the Assistant is set to use by default, so Spotify and Pandora, for instance, can both be used. Further, any song uploaded to Google Play Music library can be used. Apart from this, Google Assistant will also help users look up TV schedules. Users can, suing voice commands, avail information on the show timings of any TV programme, channel information and play time for the next new episode.
