The new development in the app will allow you to browse through a dedicated feed of retail merchandise from various sellers. Instagram will also allow the sellers to add stickers to their Stories, allowing the buyer to purchase the item by tapping on it.
According to a report by The Verge, the chief operating officer of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg, in a statement said that 90 million Instagrammers tap posts to reveal shopping tags on the app. More than 25 million businesses already have an account on Instagram, with about 2 million of them advertising with Facebook. Whit the latest changes, the photo and video-sharing social networking service app is undertaking a significant push into e-commerce.
Instagram has finally rolled out an emoji shortcut bar for Android and iOS users which allows for swift reactions to posts. The new shortcut bar is available in a post's comments section. While typing a comment, you will be shown the set of your most-used emoji. Only the most-used emoji will be available in the shortcut bar. If you want to use a new emoji, you will have to sift through the keyboard manually.
Now, you will also have new Superzoom effects to add to your Instagram stories. The new set includes a heart-filled fog with music, paparazzi camera flashes, fire with rock music in the background, a big red X, black leaves against a melancholy soundtrack, surprise effect with an evil audio, a TV programme effect and beats effect for those dance stories.
The new effects will be available alongside the previous four effects. As Mashable reports, the new set is not available for everyone just yet as it is a gradual roll out.
