While Apple’s profit margins are at an all-new high, the company’s most expensive iPhone, the iPhone X sales are turning out to be disappointing for the company.

According to an investor note from Longbow Research, the “iPhone X didn’t sell well during the holiday season.” It was believed that that the device would attract more buyers during the holiday season but it didn’t. This was due to the lower-than-expected demand for the iPhone X. Additionally, analysts from Nomura stated that customers did not want to shell out a lot of money for the smartphone’s high price and prefer to opt for under $999 handsets.

In other news, Apple may soon launch a new color variant of the iPhone X – ‘blush gold’. Photos shared by Twitter user Ben Geskin show of both the rear and sides of the device, as well as a matching SIM tray. The device is reportedly being assembled with the codename D21A.

At the moment, the iPhone X is available in two colors - silver and space gray. According to a report by Apple Insider, Apple was theorized to ship a "blush gold" iPhone X last year, but purportedly decided against it in light of production problems. Though the iPhone X was announced in September, it only shipped in November, likely as a result of the difficulty of manufacturing the phone's 3D-sensing TrueDepth camera.

In terms of specifications, the iPhone X sports a 5.8 inch Super Retina HD Display and is powered by the company’s A11 Bionic chip. It comes equipped with a 12MP + 12MP dual rear cameras along with a 7MP front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with a battery that claims to last up to 2 hours longer than the iPhone 7.

Apple may also, soon release a new iPhone SE 2 this year, which will adopt the same features as the iPhone X. BGR reportedly received iPhone SE 2 sketches by a trusted source about a week ago that pictures same design what has been spotted in the video.

The video shows of a device, similar to iPhone X, but it appears to be smaller. In place of the rounded stainless steel that wraps around the perimeter of the iPhone X, this device, running iOS, has a flattened aluminum, similar to the current iPhone SE. Towards the front, you can spot an “all-screen” design with a notch, also similar to the iPhone X. Lastly, vertically arranged dual-lens camera can be found towards the back. However, there is no official confirmation about the leaked device. At the moment, let’s take this news with a pinch of salt.
