At the ongoing Computex 2017, ARM introduced two new CPUs and a new GPU to update their product line for devices coming in 2018.

The two new CPUs unveiled are the Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 are going to replace the Cortex-A73 and A53 in smartphones. The company stated that their processors like the A75 will get refreshed once every year while the smaller or little CPUs will get refreshed every 2-3 years, like we are seeing now with the A55.

The Cortex-A75 claims to deliver a substantial uplift for performance, with over 50 percent improvement in raw integer performance alone, and even greater gains for specialized workloads. Both Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 are built for DynamIQ technology, ARM's multi-core technology that was announced in March.

The Cortex-A75 CPU will extend performance and it will also expand the capabilities of the CPU to handle advanced workloads that are transforming applications and business in exciting ways. ARM also introduced the G72 GPU that will likely be paired with the new cores inside of many SoCs like Huawei's HiSilicon do today. This new GPU is a smaller improvement over the G71 and improves VR performance with new features for better performance and power savings.

The Cortex-A55 will provide 2.5x the power efficiency of its predecessor, bringing performance to the edge across a variety of applications and performance points from IOT edge gateways to mainstream, everyday devices. The company claims that the new technologies will be seen on smartphones in the first quarter of 2018.
