The Amazon Prime Day Sale 2018 has kicked off today and will go on sale July 17. The sale will offer discounts on a variety of smartphones and other gadgets. Additionally, HDFC Bank Credit and Debit card holders with Amazon Prime can avail a 10 percent instant discount. Users could also exchange their old smartphone and save Rs 3,000.

OnePlus 6 (Red Edition)

OnePlus launched the 'Red Edition' color variant of the OnePlus 6 in India today. It will go on sale via Amazon India at 12PM IST for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, and will be available for the same price as the other OnePlus 6 variants, ie, Rs 39,999.

In terms of specifications, the device features a 6.28-inch FullHD+ Optic AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with 6GB/8GB RAM option. It is available in 64GB/128GB/256GB storage variants as well.

It comes equipped with a dual-camera setup – 16MP + 20MP cameras. It also includes a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX and aptX HD support, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C (v2.0) and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Running Android 8.1 Oreo with OxygenOS on top, the device is backed up by a 3,300mAh battery.

Huawei Honor 7C

The 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant of the Honor 7C is currently available at Rs 9,999 while the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant is available at Rs 11,999. Users can receive a cashback of up to Rs 3,000 and up to Rs 8,001 via exchange respectively.

In terms of specifications, the Honor 7C features a 5.99-inch display with a 1440×720 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with either 3GB/4GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 32GB or 64GB and can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. It will come equipped with a dual camera set up – 13MP + 2MP sensors. It will also include an 8MP front-facing camera. A 3000mAh battery completes the package.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2

The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 will go on sale, at 1PM IST and will be available for Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant while the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant will be available for Rs 12,999.                The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 features a 5.99-inch HD+ display that runs at a resolution of 1440×720 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC that is well known for its performance and battery life. It will be available in 3GB/4GB RAM variants. It will be available in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB storage variants.

In the photography department, the Redmi Y2 comes with dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Both the cameras work in tandem and allow you to add DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos. For selfies and video calling, there is a 16-megapixel AI-powered front camera which comes with a dedicated portrait mode to add those bokeh effects to your selfies.

With connectivity options such as 4G LTE with VoLTE, dual-SIM card slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, the smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo OS with MIUI 9 skin on top. It also includes iPhone X-like gesture control support, allowing you to disable the on-screen Android navigation buttons, and make the most of the full-screen display. To keep things ticking, the smartphone is armed with a 3,080mAh battery. In terms of security, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back, and face unlock feature too.

Huawei P20 Pro

The Huawei P20 Pro will receive a discount of Rs 5,000 while Amazon Prime users can avail a discount of up to Rs 18,000 off on exchange offers. The effective price of the device can go down to as low as Rs 46,999. The P20 Pro features a dual-SIM P20 Pro runs EMUI 8.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. As for display specifications, the P20 Pro has a 6.1-inch with a full-HD+ FullView display. In terms of internals, the Huawei P20 Pro is powered by an in-house HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage.

As for optics, the Huawei P20 Pro features a triple camera setup- an 8-megapixel sensor on the top that comes with 3X optical zoom, a 40-megapixel RGB sensor, and a third 20-megapixel monochrome sensor. Between the lenses, lies a Leica colour temperature sensor.

Vivo V9

As a part of the sale, the Vivo V9 receives a discount of Rs 3,000. Amazon Prime users can receive and can also receive up to Rs 13,000 on exchange. Amazon Prime users can also get the device at an exchange price of Rs 7,999. The Vivo V9 features a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display along with a 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor paired with 4GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 64GB and offers expandable storage support for up to 256GB via microSD card.

Running Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.0 on top, it comes equipped with a 16MP camera along with a 5MP camera and a 24MP front-facing sensor. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS and microUSB. A 3260mAh battery completes the package.
