After it was reported earlier this week that Amazon would be creating eight Alexa-powered smart devices, the web got a sneak peek at two of them ahead of a scheduled event held by the brand.

On Wednesday it appeared that Amazon UK accidentally listed two of the eight upcoming Alexa-powered devices on its site -- a subwoofer and a smart plug, according to Pocket-lint.

If the specs seen on the site are indeed correct, the baseline will be getting an upgrade with a new Echo subwoofer. Four features were described on the listing of the black 6-inch cloth-covered woofer:

The "Echo sub delivers down-firing, 100W deep bass sound," which is likely intended to correct the common criticisms the Echo had about its thin-sounding audio. As expected, the Echo sub can pair the with Echo or Echo plus.

The sub can pair with up to two Echo devices to create a complete stereo system capable of filling up a space with full sound. And, via the Alexa app, you can wirelessly connect to the device(s) and control the music with your voice. This new stereo-pairing ability shows that Amazon is not messing around with their audio devices. You will be able to use the Echo as your main music system for £75.00 on October 11, at least according to the leak.

The Alexa-compatible Smart Plug however, appears to have a bit of a higher price tag at £95.00, according to the accidental listing. As for the specs, the Smart Plug plugs into any electrical socket and...well, that's it. Then you just start talking. You can schedule your electrical devices to turn on and off automatically when you say so, or if you're not home, you can do so remotely through the Alexa app. So next time you're not sure if you've unplugged your straightener or not, no need to run home; just ask Alexa.

Amazon is set to host a launch event Thursday at its Seattle headquarters at 10:30 am PST where it is expected that these Echo devices will be officially unveiled.
