The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at the official premises of Sports Authority of India (SAI) in New Delhi in connection with bribery charges against some of its officials.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at the official premises of Sports Authority of India (SAI) in New Delhi in connection with bribery charges against some of its officials.
Four officials, including Director SAI, and two private persons were arrested to the alleged corruption in the transport department of the Authority, ANI reported.
As soon as the news broke out, Rajyavardhan Rathore took to Twitter to explain the situation.
Rathore posted a video captioned, “We, as a govt,are committed to a corruption-free India. That's why when we found out corrupt practices by a few officers in @IndiaSports, we gave their info to relevant agencies,who arrested them today. We will continue to have zero tolerance approach towards corruption @PMOIndia”

CBI has sealed the entire SAI premise and has also questioned several members of the staff to probe a case of alleged bribery.
As per reports, bills of Rs 19 lakhs were pending to be approved by the SAI officials and the accused officials were demanding a three percent bribe to clear the files.
Speaking about the CBI raid, SAI Director General Neelam Kapoor told the news agency, "There is zero tolerance for corruption in SAI. We will support any action against corruption."
According to ANI, reports regarding the bribery allegations were received almost two months following which the CBI was asked to probe the charges.
