Cesar Azpilicueta and Michy Batshuayi scored late in the second half as champions Chelsea snatched a 4-2 victory against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Chelsea, who had lost their last two league matches, went ahead when Pedro whipped in a ferocious curling shot high off the post from 25 metres following a disputed corner.

Cesc Fabregas played a short corner to Eden Hazard, who picked out Pedro just outside the penalty area. The Spaniard had plenty to do, but his first-time strike was one of pure quality as he bent the ball over the head of Gomes and into the back of the net off the top of the post.

Watford equalised seconds before halftime through Abdoulaye Doucoure. As a throw-in was delivered from deep inside our half, David Luiz headed the ball away, but his clearance deflected into the path of Doucoure who fired through a crowded box to make it 1-1.

Watford then went ahead in a rampant spell of attacking football four minutes after the break when Roberto Pereyra tapped home a Richarlison cross.

Just before the hour Conte made his first change of the afternoon, a straight swap up front with Michy Batshuayi replacing Morata, and soon after Willian was introduced for Marcos Alonso.

Michy Batshuayi headed home 20 minutes from time to spare Chelsea's blushes.

Cesar Azpilicueta then popped up four minutes from time to meet a wonderful Willian cross and guide his header beyond Heurelho Gomes to make it 3-2, before Batshuayi made sure of the points with a smart finish – his second of the game – in added time.

Antonio Conte made two changes to the side which started against Roma in midweek, with Antonio Rudiger and Pedro coming in for Andreas Christensen and Davide Zappacosta.
