India's star gymnast Dipa Karmakar made a stellar comeback after going away for two years to recover from an injury. The 24-year-old from Tripura won the gold medal in the vault event of FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup at Mersin, Turkey on Sunday.

Dipa had to stay away from the game for two years to work on her Anetrior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury after Rio Olympics. She underwent a surgery and missed Commonwealth Games as rehabilitation took more time than expected.
