France's World Cup-winning star Paul Pogba denounced claims that he had retired from the French national team.
The news of Pogba - a devout Muslim - deciding to quit International football came in response to French President Emmanuel Macron's comments on 'Islamist terrorist attack', after an incident.
The Manchester United footballer took to social media and rubbishes the rumours as he wrote, "Unacceptable fake news".

But from where did the news generate?
It was after a middle school history teacher in France was knifed to death near the school earlier this month after he had shown his pupils cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad - which is considered blasphemous by Muslims, French officials said on Friday.
The attacker was shot dead by a police patrol a few streets away from the scene, in a residential suburb north-west of Paris.
"One of our fellow citizens was assassinated today because he was teaching, he was teaching pupils about freedom of expression," Macron told reporters at the scene of the attack.
"Our compatriot was flagrantly attacked, was the victim of an Islamist terrorist attack," Macron further said.
"They won't win... We will act. Firmly, And quickly. You can count on my determination," he added.
Did Pogba release a statement on retirement?
No, not Pogba nor the French Football Federation had officially announced anything.
He was allegedly upset with President Macron's remarks and considered those comments as an insult towards him and to French Muslims, as Islam is the second religion in France after Christianity.
