Nearly 400 entries have been recieved from all over the country for the Otters Open Squash Championship to be held here from August 2 to 6.

The week-long 4-star competition, being held under the auspices of the Squash Rackets Federation of India, will be played at the Otters Club in suburban Bandra.

In the men's draw, the winner will receive Rs 50,000, while the runner-up will earn Rs 25,000. Ravi Dixit, a recent runner-up at Khar Gymkhana, is the men's top seed while Gaurav Nandrajog of Delhi is seeded second.

There are several star players in the junior categories.

Among those in the fray are boys under-15 top seed Tanay Punjabi, Jeh Pandole, Druv Vazirani and Yash Salunkhe of Goa, boys under-17 top seed Rahul Baitha, Cologne Cup and Dutch Open winner Neel Joshi, Advait Adik, Shloke Sahay, Yohaan Poncha and Utkarsh Baheti of Rajasthan, and boys under-19 top seed Aryaman Adik, Yohaan Surti, Chaitanya Shah and Delhi duo Robin Singh Mann and second seed Yash Bhargava, the release said.

Dutch Open winner and girls under-15 top seed Ananya Dabke will face stiff competition from Aishwarya Khubchandani, Aryaa Ogale, Avani Nagar and second seed Megha Bhatia of Delhi, while the girls under-17 draw incudes a formidable line-up of top seed Bhavna Goyal of Maharashtra, second seed Krithica JS of Tamil Nadu, Abhilasha Bhasin, Yoshna Singh and Anannya Morey.

Seedings: Men: 1. Ravi Dixit, 2. Gaurav Nandrajog, 3/4. Aditya Jagtap/Sandeep Jangra.

Boys U-19: 1. Aryaman Adik, 2. Yash Bhargava, 3/4.
