?No such proposal has been made to me. I am against betting. I am one of those who banned gambling. But the final decision rests with the Government of India,? Goel said.

Earlier, the AIGF reportedly sought a central legalisation to allow online betting and regulated betting in Cricket.

The AIGF, in its white paper submitted to the Law Commission of India (LCI), stated the Centre could earn thousands of crores in tax and revenues every year if it legalises betting.
