MERCEDES (Valtteri Bottas 3, Lewis Hamilton 4)

Mercedes had their lead cut to 39 points while Hamilton is now 14 behind Ferrari's Vettel. Both drivers ended in the same position they started, with Bottas letting the Briton pass him before they switched back again. The lost points could cost Hamilton dear in the long run, however.

FERRARI (Sebastian Vettel 1, Kimi Raikkonen 2)

Vettel's fourth win of the season and 46th of his career. He started on pole, with Raikkonen alongside, and had to contend with a skewed steering wheel. Raikkonen looked faster but held position.

RED BULL (Max Verstappen 5, Daniel Ricciardo retired)

The two Red Bulls collided on the opening lap, with Verstappen given a 10-second stop-and-go penalty that also wrecked his podium chances. Ricciardo retired on the spot and was not impressed.

FORCE INDIA (Sergio Perez 8, Esteban Ocon 9)

The team's third double points finish in a row moved them 60 points clear of Williams. The pair made contact at turn one, with Ocon's floor damaged.

WILLIAMS (Lance Stroll 14, Paul di Resta retired)

The team are now only two points clear of Toro Rosso after struggling for pace all weekend. Brazilian Felipe Massa felt unwell after practice and was replaced by reserve Di Resta, racing in Formula One for the first time since 2013. The Scot retired due to an oil leak.

TORO ROSSO (Carlos Sainz 7, Daniil Kvyat 11)

Sainz helped Toro Rosso to put the pressure on Williams with his seventh points finish in 11 races. Kvyat, who was given a three-place penalty after qualifying, has scored only twice and is dangerously close to a one-race ban because of his penalty points tally.

HAAS (Kevin Magnussen 13, Romain Grosjean retired)

Magnussen collected a five-second penalty for pushing Hulkenberg wide. Grosjean was left with a cross-threaded rear wheel nut after pitting due to a front left puncture. He then had to stop on track due to the loose wheel.

RENAULT (Jolyon Palmer 12, Nico Hulkenberg 17)

Hulkenberg had a slow stop on lap 45 due to a malfunctioning wheel gun and then retired three laps from the end with brake and gearbox problems after being pushed wide by Magnussen. Palmer has still to score any points this season.

MCLAREN (Fernando Alonso 6, Stoffel Vandoorne 10)

Alonso set the fastest lap of the race and pulled in McLaren's biggest points haul of the season as the former champions moved off the bottom. Vandoorne opened his account for the season, with his home Belgian GP next up.

SAUBER (Pascal Wehrlein 15, Marcus Ericsson 16)

Wehrlein had to pit due to a slow puncture. Ericsson also pitted during the early safety car period. Sauber drop back to the bottom of the field.
