Indian Super League (ISL) team Kerala Blasters have signed former Manchester United star Wes Brown and are on the verge of completing one more massive transfer in the form of another former Manchester United player Dimitar Berbatov.

Both, Brown and Berbatov have been premier league champions with Manchester United during Alex Ferguson's time at the club.

They are set to be reunited with another of United's former coaching staff member, Rene Meulensteen.

Kerala Blasters announced the signing of Wes Brown through a video posted on social media.

According to reports, Blasters are also closing in on a deal with Berbatov. It was being said that talks with Berbatov had hit a roadblock following the striker's steep wage demands but now it is believed that a deal is about to be reached. Rene Meulensteen has worked with both Berbatov and Brown at Manchester United.

Brown's signing is the second big signing of the season after former Ireland captain Robbie Keene joined Atletco de Kolkata. Brown and Keene share the same agent- SFX Sports, who also have Michael Chopra, Graham Stack and Joleon Lescott on their roster.

Brown spent 19 years of his professional career at Manchester United. He came through the ranks at the club and won five Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues with the Red Devils. Upon departing the Old Trafford outfit in 2011, he joined Sunderland and played at Championship club Blackburn Rovers last season.
