Aizwal beat East Bengal 3-2 in thrilling an I-League encounter on Saturday. Both, Aizwal and East Bengal took leads in this see-saw battle before Lalkhawpuimawia's 84th goal secured the result for Aizwal.

Aizwal had taken the lead in the first through Léonce Dodoz Zikahi. Albert's ball in the box first headed to Kromah on the far side on the left who set up Lalrinfela. Lalrinfela's shot was saved by Ubaid but Dodoz capitalised from the rebound.

They lead 1-0 at half time despite East Bengal's best efforts. East Bengal came close to levelling the score when Chullova's free-kick seemed to land inside the goal after crashing off the crossbar. However, it was not given as goal.

Aizwal then had a goal ruled out for off-side in second half as Zoherliana's cross from the right found Kromah in the box. The forward found the back of the net with a flick but the flag was up.

East Bengal then equalised as Jobby Justin headed from a Chullova free-kick in the Aizawl box in the 62nd minute.

East Bengal went into lead 8 minutes later as Borja Gomez Perez sent the ball in  after initial attempts by Esqueda and Aidara from Chullova's corner.

East Bengal's lead lasted for just three minutes as Joe Zoherliana made it 2-2 with another scrappy goal after a goalmouth melee.

Aizwal introduced  Lalkhawpuimawia as substitute in the 76th minute. He proved the decision right after just five minutes with a superb goal. Lalkhawpuimawia scored with beautiful first time volley after being found by a great cross from the left by Dodoz.

Aizal saw off few tense minutes and even came to a fourth goal with Ansumana Kromah. However, his 97th minute strike was ruled off-side.
