Many fans were left disappointed as streaming app Hotstar failed to live stream Premier League matches on Saturday. Angry fans were seen venting their frustration out on the social media with many users asking for their money back while some even threatening to sue the service.

With matches like Manchester United taking on Southampton and Chelsea facing Stoke City, the Premier League Saturday promised a lot of action. But Indian fans were unable to watch it as none of the PL live games were working on the app. While some users said that there was no live streaming, others complained that the app kept crashing at regular intervals.

Star Sports has stopped broadcasting PL matches on its SD channel and since a lot of people don't have HD TV in India yet, most of them have switched to Hotstar.

The users pay Rs 199 to access the Hotstar Premium service to watch the live streaming of the games. Hotstar is yet to react to the situation.
