Highlights of the final round of the 99th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow on Sunday:

HOWELL FINISHES 13-OVER

American Charles Howell is the first player to complete the championship, carding a one-over 72 to finish at 13-over 297.

Conditions for the early starters are fairly conducive for good scores, with only a light breeze, and birdies have been plentiful, though nobody is shooting really low.

Fine for now but storm clouds on horizon?

The weather, hot and muggy, is fine right now, but the forecast is for a 50 percent chance of late-afternoon thunderstorms.

The final threesome took five hours 40 minutes to complete the third round on Saturday. Though the players are in twosomes on Sunday, don't expect them to get around in less than four hours and change.

The final pairing of Kevin Kisner and Chris Stroud tee off at 2.45 p.m. local time (1845 GMT).

With darkness falling around 8.20 p.m., even a short weather delay could make for a Monday finish.

'GREEN MILE' LIKELY TO YIELD CARNAGE AGAIN

Quail Hollow has been set up at 7,494 yards for the final round, second longest of the week after Thursday's 7,588 yards.

The finishing three holes, known as the 'Green Mile' are likely to play tough as ever, particularly the par-three 17th.

After the tees were moved up for the hole to play at 177 yards in the second and third rounds, it will be played at 221 yards today, with the hole cut only five paces from the left side of the green, perilously close to the water.
