India will begin the campaign with a match against the USA.
By virtue of being the host nation, India play in their first ever FIFA world cup in any age group. The Iads will definitely make India proud with a ‘more-than-expected’ performance.
There aren’t any high expectations from the Indian colts and understandably so. The boys have got this once in a lifetime chance only as India is hosting the event.
It would be considered a great achievement even if India manage to draw a match. If they break into the playoff stages it would definitely be a miracle and as good as winning the world cup for India. On paper India is the weakest team in their group that also comprises of USA, Ghana, and Colombia.
Can India really manage to draw a match, better still win a match or as every daydreaming Indian football fan would want; even manage to sneak into the playoffs? Well, there is a great chance of any one of these three things actually happening!
The most important people in the squads participating in such spectacular events are the coach, the captain, and the goalkeeper.
India’s chances of a good show in the event come from the spectacular horoscope of Coach Luis Norton de Matos.
