Guangzhou Evergrande sealed a record seventh successive Chinese Super League title on Sunday as Luiz Felipe Scolari's side thrashed Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng 5-1. The win gave them an unassailable nine-point lead with two games left over second-placed Shanghai SIPG, who lost 2-1 to Guangzhou R&F.
Scolari, who is expected to leave the club when his contract expires on Nov. 30, has led Guangzhou to three league titles since replacing Fabio Cannavaro at the helm of the club in June 2015.
