Brazil's players had to breath from oxygen tanks at full-time after they drew 0-0 in their World Cup qualifier against Bolivia in La Paz. The Bolivian capital is 11,932 feet above sea level.

Forward Neymar said "everything was bad" at the stadium and the team was happy to have come away from La Paz with just a point.

After a hectic 90 minutes, PSG’s world-record signing took to social media to post a picture of him and his team-mates, and wrote that it was “inhumane” to play in such conditions. He also mentioned that the “field, altitude and ball [were] all bad”.

Brazil have qualified for Russia 2018 already as they are 10 points clear of second-placed Uruguay in the South American federation.

"I have to praise our professionals for all the logistics of the medical department, that gave all the support to make people feel the effects less,” said Brazil’s head coach Tite.

"The performance surprised. Playing here is very difficult. Strategically, I was very happy. We were upright, offensive. I want to emphasise this great performance. I am happy for the performance but upset about the result."

Neymar and Brazil take on Chile in their final qualifying match on Tuesday night.
