If reports are to be believed Manchester City have agreed to bring in Bernado Silva for a hefty transfer fee of £60 mn.

The mid-fielder is set to sign a five-year deal with the Ethiad club, and flew  to Manchester airport on Thursday night. City rivals Manchester United were also in the race to sign the prolific Portuguese who had a fantastic year with Monaco.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City boss, has been a long fan of this creative midfielder and his performances at the Stade Louis II has only convinced him that he is the right man to partner Kevin De Bruyne in mid-field.

The 22-year-old along with teen sensation Kylian Mbappe was the principal architect for Leonardo Jardim's side as they beat PSG to the Ligue 1 title race — scoring eight goals and providing nine assists.

It is believed that other Monaco players might follow suite as Guardiola will keep no stone unturned to make City a formidable force in Europe and not only in England.
