Antonio Conte has not left his job as Chelsea manager, according to several trusted sources. Earlier, reports of Conte leaving Chelsea had emerged and gained momentum on Twitter.

Conte oversaw another disappointing result on Sunday as Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham. Chelsea had scored 12 points out of a possible 33 in 2018. They are also certain to miss out on a Champions League qualification spot.

They are 10 points behind Liverpool and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur who are third and fourth, with just six league matches left this season.

Conte looks certain to leave the club but most believe that he will stay at Stamford Bridge till the end of this season.

However, Chelsea will have the chance of picking up silverware with an FA Cup semi-final against Southampton on the horizon. But on Monday, many on Twitter claimed that Conte won't be there.

The reports that Conte won't be in charge for the Wembley clash with the relegation-threatened Southampton gained momentum after Journalist Pete O'Rourke wrote on Twitter: "Looking likely that Antonio Conte has left Chelsea."

However, several journalist including freelance radio reporter Dan Leverne shot down the claims.

He wrote on Twitter: "Antonio Conte isn't going anywhere today, Monday 9th April (small trip to corner shop possibly excepted).

Goal's Chelsea FC Correspondent Nizaar Kinsella also refuted the reports.

Daily Mirror journalist Darren Lewis added: "No, Antonio Conte has not left Chelsea.

"Told it is business as usual and no truth in suggestions otherwise."
