Bajrang Punia had won India's first gold in the 18th Asian Games on Sunday.

Bajrang Punia won the gold medal at 2018 Asian Games in wrestling and then he won everyone's heart by dedicating his medal to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who passed away few days ago.
Even, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his delight at the gesture of the gold medal winner.
Bajrang had won India's first gold in the 18th Asian Games on Sunday in the men's 65 kg freestyle wrestling.
Bajrang defeated Japan's Daichi Takatani 11-8 in the final to clinch the gold.
After he was awarded the medal, Bajrang tweeted saying he is dedicating his gold medal at the Asian Games to the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

PM Modi praised his gesture at the prayer meeting for late PM Vajpayee.

This is Bajrang Punia's second Asiad medal. The 24-year-old had won a silver in 2014 Asian Games at Incheon.
