Vince McMahon - the man regarded as one of the most ruthless beings by many in the WWE Universe. He is responsible for the end of the territory system in North America and as his promotion kept getting bigger he bought off his biggest competitor - WCW - in 2001.

Ever since then, WWE has been on the top of the pro-wrestling industry.

Vince McMahon, throughout his career as a businessman and an on-screen personality, has made a long string of rivals who have bashed him in interviews.

With all kinds of controversial things being said about the WWE Chairman, there are some people who are close to him and seen his caring side.

Here are five instances where Vince McMahon helped WWE Superstars at some point in their careers.

WWE veteran The Undertaker and Vince McMahon have been working with each other for the past 3 decades.

The bond between The Deadman and Vince is so strong that the wrestler even made it clear that he can take a bullet for his boss.

"I had a whole mess of personal problems going on in my life. It was really affecting me in my ability to perform, and my ability to want to go out and perform.

"Vince straight up pulled me into his office one day, and we started talking about it. He looked me straight in the eyes and he said, ‘Mark, you need to quit feeling sorry for yourself. You need to quit feeling sorry for yourself. Then get your a** out there and do what you’re supposed to do. As I’m processing all that, I knew he [Vince] was right”.

The Undertaker's WWE WrestleMania streak is the stuff of legends and was once the USP of every WrestleMania that he competed in.

Vince McMahon and The Undertaker have feuded with each other on various occasions on WWE TV and PPVs, but in reality, the two are close.

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair and Vince McMahon have rarely seen eye to eye when it comes to the ring.

But it is known that Vince always takes care of the ones who helped him along the way on his quest to make WWE the biggest pro-wrestling promotion in the industry.

Flair, who had made his return to WWE and beat The Alliance at Survivor Series 2001, had revealed that he was the co-owner of WWE with Vince McMahon.

The duo engaged in a months-long feud that ended on an episode of RAW, where Vince defeated Flair to become the sole owner of WWE again.

However, keeping all this aside, Flair had also revealed how Vince McMahon helped him financially while talking about the WWE Chairman on an edition of The Broken Skull Sessions.

"I owed Vince, paid back Vince. He gave me an $800,000 loan and told me to declare bankruptcy. I knew that I couldn't live with myself if I did."

3. MVP and Vince McMahon

WWE veteran MVP made his return at this year's Royal Rumble match and is currently aligned with Bobby Lashley.

MVP, who was a strong mid-card act in WWE, back in 2005-10, has stated several times how Vince McMahon gave him an opportunity despite him having a shady background.

“Society wouldn’t give me an opportunity to make minimum wage, Vince McMahon said. ‘Yeah, you did some bad things, but everybody here gets an opportunity. You’ve earned an opportunity.’”

Before his WWE stint, MVP spent nine and a half years in jail for the crimes of kidnapping and armed robbery. He made a name for himself while in WWE.

He is a former Tag Team Champion as well as United States Champion.

Former Women's Champion Alundra Blayze aka Madusa is one rival that the WWE Chairman settled his differences with and welcomed her back to WWE with open arms.

She revealed a few years ago how she was living on the streets before making it to WWE. Vince had asked her if he could help her and she requested him to pay off her debt which was $80,000 and Vince ended up paying off her full debt.

“I lived in my car. My car got repossessed and I was on the streets. People don't know that I've lived on the streets for a while and I rose above that and I got a call. And so when I finally got my contract, I was going into WWE, he says, 'is there anything I can do for you?' Anything this or that? And I said, 'yeah, you can pay off my IRS bill!'And he goes, 'how much do you owe?' I said, 'I paid everything off. I could have filed for bankruptcy, but I never did, sir.' He said, 'alright.' The next day, he sent a check and paid my IRS bill. He was amazing.”

Madusa had taken the WWE Women's title to WCW and trashed it on an episode of Nitro which had led to WWE blacklisting her for years. She was later welcomed back inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.

5. Harley Race and Vince McMahon

Harley Race was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. He had stints in several wrestling promotions, including a three-year run in WWE in the late 80s. Race passed away last year, from lung cancer.

It was, however, later revealed by former WWE Superstar Trevor Murdoch that Vince McMahon took care of the WWE legend's medical bills during his final days.

"Harley needed to be transferred from Atlanta to St. Louis. He needed to take a Med flight because he was in rough shape. Medicare wouldn’t help him. A call was made to WWE and 10 mins later it was paid in full. Vince McMahon never blinked an eye. He wanted to make sure Harley was taken care of. Thank you, Vince, you gave me 2 more days with Harley".

It was Murdoch's comments that told everyone about Vince's goodwill act towards Race. The pro-wrestling social media even hailed Vince at the time.
