India scored another victory as they came back from being a goal down to win 2-1 against Mauritius in the opening game of the tri-nation series in Mumbai on Saturday.
Jean Mervyn Jocelyn gave the visitors an early lead as Indian midfield lacked conviction in the first half. However, striker Robin Singh levelled the score as using a perfect pass from Rowling Borges. In the second half, Balwant Singh scored on his international debut to hand the hosts a win.
The tournament also features Caribbean side St. Kitts & Nevis. It will be a good opportunity for Indian players get in shape before their AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Macau on 5 September.
