A FIFA World Cup doesn't just see the best football players on the planet assembling in one country, it also witnesses millions of fans from across the globe coming together to celebrate sport. While the action on the field, naturally, takes the centre-stage, there are plenty of heart-warming humane stories that come up too.

One such instance happened after the Senegal versus Poland match in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia on Tuesday. Fans of the African team were jubilant at the Spartak Stadium in Moscow as their side defeated Poland 2-1.

Senegal proved to be Africa's saving grace at the World Cup on Tuesday. Take away their win over Poland and it is five defeats in five for the continent's representatives in Russia. After Nigeria and Algeria both reached the knockout phase four years ago, following Ghana's run to the quarter-finals in 2010, it is already looking like 2018 will be a step backwards for Africa on the biggest stage.

However, rather than bringing the house down in celebration, the Senegal supporters were seen methodically cleaning the empty stadium after the match. A video shared by Argentinian TV channel TyC Sports, which has since gone viral, shows Senegal fans assembling garbage in the stands in one single pile.

A similar scene was witnessed after the Japan versus Colombia match on the same day. Japanese fans are famous for cleaning up stadiums after matches back home, and they kept up the practice at the Mordovia Arena in Saransk after their team's 2-1 win.

Well, it's little moments like these that make the football World Cup the greatest sporting spectacle on the planet. Also, Senegal take on Japan at the Ekaterinburg Arena in Yekaterinburg on Sunday - keep an eye out for the stands at the end of the match!
