England footballers delighted an entire nation by defeating Sweden 2-0 in their FIFA World Cup quarter-final on Saturday.
As Harry Kane and Co went about their business on the field in Russia, a trend took form on Twitter which showed how England fans were watching the key match on Saturday, even if that meant putting wedding celebrations on hold.

A thumping 30th-minute Harry Maguire header from a corner gave England a 1-0 lead over Sweden on Saturday. Centre-back Maguire connected with an Ashley Young corner to score his first international goal and reward England for their more adventurous approach in a largely cautious first half.
The second goal came from a header, too, with Dele Alli heading home a Jesse Lingard cross. England will play either Russia or Croatia, who meet later on Saturday, in the semi-finals.
