It is safe to say that the match between England and Belgium was not one of the most exciting matches of the FIFA World Cup 2018. With both teams having made it to the Round of 16 before the match, both coaches rested many big names.

However, the match, or more specifically Michy Batshuayi, may have given fans one of the best moments of the World Cup so far. The moment went viral instantly on the internet and many have dubbed it as the 'greatest moment of the World Cup'.

The moment came just after Belgium's goal in the second half. Adnan Januzaj played a superb curling shot to beat Pickford and put Belgium ahead. It was a goal of great quality.

However, what happened afterwards was epic.

Belgium forward Michy Batshuayi celebrated the goal by catching the ball as it sprung from the net and battered it against the post. However, it rebounded and hit him. Batshuayi  was startled by the impact.

The internet was quick to spot it and the clip went viral within minutes.

Batshuayi seems to be taking all this attention with his usual sense of humor.

He also tweeted a picture of the moment before he hit the ball. He wrote, "The second just before I knew I f*cked up."

Michy Batshuayi has earlier attracted attenion for missing many chances before scoring one goal in the match against Tunisia.
