And here are some reactions to it

Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to help Portugal earn a hard-fought draw against Spain on Friday. The 33-year-old provided the game's first goal via a penalty that he earned. His goal was cancelled put by a brilliant solo effort from Diego Costa. But an uncharacteristic mistake from goal-keeper David de Gea gave Ronaldo his second goal of the night. That too, however, was equalled by another Costa strike. Nacho then gave Spain a 3-2 lead, before Ronaldo provided the moment of the game with a sensational direct free-kick.

"I am very happy, it's a nice personal record to have, one more in my career," said Ronaldo after the match. "For me the most important thing is to emphasise what the team did against one of the favourites to win this World Cup. It was a fair result, we are very happy because the game was about to finish and then we managed to grab a draw.

"The World Cup has only just begun. Portugal are hoping to get through the first round, and we know how hard the group stage is. We are not the favourites but we are contenders and we will do as well as we can," added the Portuguese captain.
