South Korea's goal meant that Mexico were going to Round of 16 despite losing to Sweden.

Mexico fans have already created an earthquake with their celebration after their goal against Germany in their first match in FIFA World Cup 2018. On Wednesday, they were busy cheering another goal against Germany- this time by South Korea.
Mexico were trailing 2-0 against Sweden, a game they will eventually end up losing 3-0, on Wednesday when South Korea scored their first goal. They were in danger of crashing out of FIFA World Cup 2018 as Germany needed just one goal to secure the win and get ahead of Mexico on goal difference. However, it was South Korea who scored to take the lead. The goal made Mexico fans go crazy with glee.

Germany, the 2014 World Cup winners, were knocked out after losing the match 2-0. Mexico went ahead to the Round of 16 despite losing to Sweden as they finished second the group. Sweden topped the group on goal difference with their win.
