FIFA World Cup 2018: Japan players and fans clean up dressing room, stadium even after painful loss against Belgium

Japan crashed out of the FIFA World Cup 2018 after losing 3-2 to Belgium in their Round of 16 match on Tuesday. Their loss was more painful as they had secured a 2-0 lead early in the second half. However, Belgium bounced back to score three goals, with the winner coming in the inury time, to knock them out.  

However, even after such a heartbreaking loss Japan proved that they have most respectful players and fans in the whole world. 

Japanese team cleaned their locker room after the match despite suffering what must have been one of the most painful defeats of the World Cup. The Japan footballers not only cleaned their lockers but also left a 'thank you' note for the hosts. 

 

Journalist Tancredi Palmeri shared a picture of the Japan locker room after the team had left with a note in the middle saying 'Spasibo', which is the Russian for 'thank you'.

He wrote, "Amazing from Japan. This is how they left the changing room after losing v Belgium: cleaned it all. And in the middle, have left a message to Russia: “Spasibo” (Thank you)"

The Japanese supporters were also seen cleaning up the stands at the stadium after the match against Belgium. 

The fans the 'Samurai Blue' took time after their loss game against Belguim at the World Cup in Russia to help clean up the stands in the stadium.

Twitter was flooded with images of Japan fans taking bags of trash out of the stands after the game even while shedding tears after their loss. 

 

The act speaks volumes about the cuture and character of Japanese people.
