CK Vineeth's brace help Bengaluru lift Fed Cup

The Blues are crowned FED CUP champions 2017. They book a place for next season continental football with this win.  CK Vineeth's brace have derailed the Kolkata giants. Sanjoy Sen has much to introspect, whereas Roca will not set his eyes on the last group game of AFC Cup. That's it from my side. This is Soham Mukherjee, signing off for today. Good Night!!

Final whistle at Barabati!! BFC get their hands on the trophy! 2 goals disallowed and they put two back in ET. Vineeth changing the course of the match single-handedly.

114' Long balls are being directed at Balwant and Jeje but BFC defenders are taller to win every aerial battle.

109' Kotal with a ball in, Jeje heads it down but falls to a blue shirt. 

107' GOAALLLLLL!!! Vineethhhth the scorer!!! He holds the ball, skips past one, shoots and with a deflection from Anas, the ball goes in.

105' Fantastic ball in. Debjit goes out, but cannot collect it clearly. Clumsy clearance and Vineeth gets a second bite on  the cherry but he shoots side netting.

100' Kotal sees a needless yellow on the right side. Glenn's first time attack is blocked.

101' Norde is fed by Duffy on the left, he cuts back in and swings a cross, but easy for Amrinder.

97' Norde with an in swinging ball from the centre line. Too deep and his strikers are falling short to get to it. 

Nishu Kumar comes on for Harmanjot Khabra. Final change for BFC.

96' Both teams are going for the kill and this is opening up spaces at the back. This is anyone's match till now. 

94' An open ball chested down for Norde but he blasts it over. 

91' Extra Time begins and both teams have played some end to end stuff till now. 

92' A let away for MB. Glen gets a deflected shot onto the cross bar and then the post but stayed away from entering the net. UNLUCKY!!

90 minutes at the Barabati Stadium and the deadlock is yet to be broken. We are heading towards extra time. Both teams had their chances but they have failed to convert them. Both the goal keepers have had a wonderful game under the sticks. Nothing to separate the two teams but MB is slightly ahead on shots on target with 8 compared to Bengaluru's 5. 

90' Sony Norde earns a vital corner for Bagan at the dying embers. 

Another chance goes begging. Jeje takes a shot but straight to Amrinder.

90+' Corners are piling up against BFC. Norde is delivering some venomous balls. 

Balwant chips back in, but Jeje heads just over the crossbar. 

87' A defender's tackle from Jeje to prevent Jhingan from progressing. Goes out for  a corner.

 Attacked the far post, but Mohun Bagan defends it away, only for another corner.

85' Fantastic cross from Balwant, from the left. But too close to the net and Jeje cannot get there. Goes across the face of the goal just lacking a touch. 

86' A chip in from Norde from a free-kick and it is headed down well but straight to Amrinder's hands.

79' Glen with a left footed screamer. He holds his shot, makes space for him and then shoots. Debjit did cover the angle but it went just inches wide.

78' MB attacking down the right. Balwant is swinging like a pendulum being the lone striker and Duffy and Norde marshalling the two wings.

71' Alwyn George with a defense splitting ball but Debjit once again comes off the line to choke it down. 

68' Mohun Bagan with the two changes have become more lively. Prabir Das is running down the left and Katsumi moving to midfield has provided them the needed stability.

67 'Fanatstic effort from Jeje. He shoots with his weaker left by curling it  in, but Amrinder stops it.

Another change for MB. Prabir das comes on for Subhashish Bose.

Katsumi has moved to the heart of midfield and Jeje on the right.

65 'Fantastic ball from Prabir Das. He cuts in from the left, and fires a cross but takes no touch.

Udanta goes off the field and Vineeth takes his place.

Jeje also comes on for Souvik. An exciting change as Sanjoy Sen is clearly looking for the goal.

59'  Fantastic play from Mohun Bagan. Kotal sends in a ball at the far post which finds Norde. He skips past one and fires a shot which is just whiskers away from the post.

54' Fantastic shot from Balwant. It had dip and spin but Amrinder equally upto the task. 

56' Udanta on the other hand had almost scored for BFC. Debjit was off his line and he chipped it over but only to find the side netting.

51' Udanta skips past Kotal but Shenaj stepped in at the right moment to stop the cross.

46' Souvik does a good job to get past two, and then keep the ball before he is fouled. 

47' Udanta runs into Eduardo and a foul is awarded in a dangerous area. Perfect place for Lyngdoh to swing one in. 

Swings in at the far post. Jonson attacks the ball, and sends in to Juanan who pushes the ball in the net from an OFFSIDE position.

The two teams walking back on the pitch and Mohun Bagan will start proceedings this time. 

BFC has dominated proceedings in the first 45 minutes. Bagan's defense have absorbed the pressure patiently in the first 30 minutes. They slow began to grow in the game and was on the way of scoring but, Jhingan had other plans with a fine goal line clearance. The teams are locked at break, but both of them do not lack the fire-power to light up a half-empty Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

45' A free-kick just at the nick of half-time , but flows over Balwant.

45+' Udanta's cross from the right side. But again a lack of blue shirts in the box. The ball goes out for a throw-in untouched. That was the last bit of action in the first-half.

41' Fantastic one-two between Balwant and Sehnaj but blue shirts hurdle them up. 

38' End to end stuff right now. Bagan have got back into the game and have managed to string some moves in the attacking third. They are slowly settling in. 

33' Udanta has changed flanks and has moved to the right. Mohun Bagan playing a high defensive line and BFC are playing aerial balls to bypass that. Udanta has the pace to run through and behind the defense. Good ploy by Roca.

31' Break from Bengaluru after Len dislodges Norde. Subhashish makes good ground to fall back and block that effort from Len to send out for a throw-in. 

28' The drum beats go up as Mohun Bagan gets the first corner. Punched away for another corner by Amrinder.

29' Jhingan with a fantastic goal line clearance. How did he keep that out? 9 out of 10 time the clearance would have bulged the net.

24' Anas and Co. are doing a lot of defending now. Bengaluru have dominated proceedings right from the start. 

19' GOAAAALLLL!!! NOOOOO. The linesman call it OFF-SIDE. An acrobatic effort from Udanta goes in vain as the ball hits Seminlen Doungel on its way. 

21' SAVE!! Debjit with a vital touch to deny BFC open the scoring. 

15' Fantastic save from Debjit. He rushed on to smother a through ball from BFC midfield for Doungel.

16' Udanta is flying on the left side. Some step overs but the final cross is blocked by Kotal for a corner. The corner punched away by Debjit.26

13' Mohun Bagan is slowly trying to get back in the game. But, the blue shirts are crowding the midfield, not allowing the likes of Norde and Souvik to settle.

9' Bengaluru trying to play out from defense but Bagan players are winning the aerial duels. 

11' A rash tackle by Khabra on Norde. Then Khabra tried to tease Norde with a flick on the neck and the Haitian reacts by pushing Khabra down. Reckless from Norde. Yellow Card for Norde.

7' The battle for midfield domination continues and Mohun Bagan looking somewhat disjointed right now. 

8' Fantastic tackle by Jhingan on Balwant before the striker fouls him. 

2' Udanta has been spinning out attack after attack from the left side and Katsumi is doing a great job tracking him down. Pace and trickery right from the first whistle.
