Indian boxers and shooters are looking to add to the medal tally of the contingent on Day 7 of the Commonwealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast in Australia.

Indian shooters added three medals in the kitty as boxers moved to their respective next rounds on Day 7 of the Commonwealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast in Australia.
Boxer Mary Kom who is 2012 London Olympic Bronze medalist, dominated Sri Lanka's Anusha Koddithuwakku in the semi-final to make it to the final. She will be now competing for Gold and her first ever Commonwealth Games medal. Commonwealth Games debutant Gaurav Solanki and veteran Vikas Krishan are in the semifinals of their respective categories.
Indian shooters Om Prakash Mitharval and Ankur Mittal bagged bronze medals in 50m air pistol and double trap, respectively. This is Mitharval's second medal of Gold Coast 2018. He was in the third position in 10m air pistol competition two days ago. Defending champion Jitu Rai was eliminated after the first stage of the final round.
In Women's Double Trap Final, Shreyasi Singh held nerves in dramatic shoot-off to win another gold medal for the shooting team. Her teammate Varsha Varman stood fourth.
Vikram Malhotra and Ramit Tandon won their Squash Doubles match. Joshna Chinnappa and Dipika Pallikal Karthik also topped the Pool C of Women's Doubles.
Maitreyee Sarkar has continued India's dominance in Table Tennis by defeating Papua New Gineua's Vero Nime 11-2, 11-9, 11-2 to reach the next round in single's competition.
India's top paddlers, including the duo of Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, comfortably progressed to the round of 16 doubles table tennis competition.
Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth won their respective matches in the preliminaries of badminton. PV Sindhu de hwill be in action for the first time at Gold Coast 2018.
Boxing -
Indian boxers are having a good day. With the exception of Sarita Devi and Pinki Rani, all the boxers have made into the next rounds of their category. Manish Kaushik has followed the suit.
Kaushik was pitched against Calum French of England in Men's 60kg quarterfinal. In three rounds of a tight fight, the Indian sneaked victory to assure one more medal for the nation in boxing.

And it's all over! Srikanth wins the first match easily against Mauritius’s Aatish Lubah. He won 21-13, 21-10 in just 26 minutes. Srikanth started brilliantly in the second game, slightly tapering off towards the end,
Srikanth will be world no 1 tomorrow and is a hot favourite to win the CWG gold.

Saina Nehwal, world number 12, is beginning India's campaign in badminton singles' rounds against Elsie De Villiers of South Africa.

Indian shuttlers are gearing up for preliminary rounds of badminton. Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth, and HS Prannoy will take on their opponents in singles matches as PV Sindhu will be in action for the first time in Gold Coast.
Later in the day, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Ashwini Ponnappa and Pranav Jerry Chopra-Skikki Reddy will compete in mixed doubles competition.

Table Tennis -
India's Sharath Achanta and Mouma Das advance in mixed doubles competition while the pair of Pooja Sahasrabudhe and Harmeet Desai lose.
Achanta/Das beat Sri Lanka's Rohan Sirisena and Ishara Madurangi 3-1.
Malaysia's Javen Choong and Karen Lyne defeated India's Sahasrabudhe/Desai 3-1.
Table Tennis -
India's Harmeet Desai and Sanil Shankar Shetty defeated Guyana's Shemar Britton and Christopher Franklin 11-6, 11-5, 11-7. The duo now has entered final 16 along with Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran who beat Kiribati’s Touramoa Miita and Nooa Takooa 11-2, 11-5, 11-6.
