Fabio Cannavaro (From Juventus to Al-Ahli Dubai)

The 2006 FIFA World Player of the Year and World Cup-winning captain of Italy signed for Al-Ahli after Juventus said they wouldn't renew their contract for the 36-year-old defender. Cannavaro signed a two-year deal with the UAE club. Cannavaro's performance at the 2010 World Cup was poor and he and his team were bundled out in the first round itself, only the second time in the history of the competition that the defending champions have gone out in the first round.
