In September 2010, Rooney was reported to have had hired the prostitute Jenny Thompson on several occasions, including while his wife Coleen was pregnant with their son in 2009. The stories also seem to claim that Rooney became fond of Thompson, to the point where he even invited her to his home when his wife Coleen was away.

According to the prostitute, the soccer player paid over 1,000 pounds for sessions that included anything goes sex. He even flaunted his infidelity, sources say, partying in bars and casinos throughout Manchester with Thompson by his side.

In 2004, Rooney, then 18, had admitted to soliciting prostitutes in Liverpool. However, Coleen forgave him then.
