Seven-time Tour-de-France champion Lance Armstrong wished India’s ailing cricketer Yuvraj Singh a speedy recovery. Yuvi, who’s undergoing chemotheraphy for cancer in the US, has stated earlier that he takes inspiration from the cyclist, who won seven consecutive titles, after surviving testicular cancer.

Yuvi had expressed an interest in meeting Armstrong afterreading his autobiography recently. Good wishes and get-well-soon messages have been pouring in for Yuvi ever since it was reported that he’s undergoing treatment in the US.

“Reading Lance Armstrong’s book it’s not about the bike! I’m sure it will motivate me and pull me throu this time! Livestrong yuvstrong!,” tweeted Yuvi.“I look forward to meet Lance Armstrong soon and take inspiration!” he added.

Looks like Armstrong too has taken a keen interest in the cricketer as he sent him a personally signed letter. “I want you to know that the entire Livestrong team is here for you. We say it all the time, and truly believe in it: Knowledge is Power, Unity is Strength, and Attitude is Everything,” he wrote.

Founded in 1997 by Armstrong, Livestrong is a non-profit organisation that provides support to people affected by cancer. Yuvi replied, “@lancearmstrong makes me feel better! Thank you lance means a lot hope we can meet.” Sources close to Yuvi say that he’s thrilled as Lance is apparently planning to meet the cricketer soon.
