Wayne Rooney has credited his latest workout - zumba dance - for his skyrocketing success in this football season so far.

The 25-year-old Manchester United striker got hooked on the workout, which includes salsa, Bollywood and bellydancing moves, after taking it up over the summer.

And now, he is in so love with it that he practises it three times a week in private lessons at home.

“Most older players have taken up yoga, but Wayne finds it a bit boring. He likes zumba because it's energetic,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

“He reckons the extra workouts have been a major reason behind his sensational form this season.

“He feels really sharp and puts it down to the workouts at home. And he's learned a few dance moves, too,” the source added.
