Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has clearly affirmed that he has no intention of leaving and insists that his long term future lies at Old Trafford.

Rooney scored twice in their win over local rivals Manchester City in their third-round FA Cup tie at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

After the match, Rooney claimed that he has no issues at Manchester United.

"There is no problem for me. I want to be at this club for a long time," said Rooney.

After scoring his first goal, Rooney indulged himself in a passionate celebration, which gave a clear indication of his strong alliance with Manchester United.

Rooney admitted that his team got careless after taking a 3-0 lead during half time against City, and expressed relief on winning the match, The Daily Mail reports.

'We knew it was going to be difficult, going 3-0 up, we maybe took our foot off the gas a bit. City got two goals and we had to make sure we saw the game out and thankfully we managed to do that.

Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini accused Rooney of influencing the referee to get Vincent Kompany red carded in the 12th minute of the game.

"Yes. He was near the referee. It was not a red card. Rooney told him his decision," said Mancini.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson hailed Rooney's performance against Manchester City in their FA Cup third-round tie.
