Tanvi Yadav nets first ’trick in DNA Trophy

Tanvi Yadav celebrated her birthday with a hat-trick as St Felix cruised into the final of the girls’ under-14 in the DNA Trophy inter-school hockey at Police ground, Shivajinagar, on Wednesday.

Tanvi, a standard VIII student, became the first to score a hat-trick in this tournament when she achieved the feat in their 3-1 win over Anglo Urdu in the quarterfinal. Later in the semis, she was instrumental in two goals scored by Nikita Lucas as their team beat SNBP 2-0 to enter the final.

In the final, they will take on the winners of St Joseph’s Girls High School, Khadki, and St Claire’s on Friday.
