Sachin Tendulkar is hale and hearty. The Master Blaster, who returned home Friday evening, is learnt to be in fine spirits. Sources close to his family and friends have said that Tendulkar has no health complications.

“I’ve spoken to him and wife Anjali after his return. There are no problems,” a top official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India told DNA.

According to reports, on the night before the much important game, Tendulkar went to an Indian restaurant in Johannesburg along with his captain MS Dhoni, Ashish Nehra and Harbhajan Singh, and after returning to his hotel room, he felt dizzy and lost consciousness.

He subsequently fell flat on his face, which left him with the cut marks and a black spot on his nose. Sources close to his family say the Little Master did not show any ill-effects of food poisoning and ‘near fatal’ fall in the team hotel in Johannesburg.

DNA also spoke to teammates who traveled with him from Johannesburg to Mumbai via Dubai. A couple of them told this paper that Tendulkar did not show and discomfort during the long flight.

A member of the squad also revealed injuries were also not very serious. Tendulkar returned home along with Yusuf Pathan and Abhishek Nayar, team manager Anurag Thakur, physio Nitin Patel and masseur Ramesh Mane. Rest of the squad were to reach later in the night.
