Royal Challengers Bangalore are the IPL team to watch out for in the second edition of the Champions League T20 to be held in South Africa next month, former India captain Sourav Ganguly said here on Friday.

“RCB have the best chance as they have the likes of (Jacques) Kallis, (Dale) Steyn, Van de Meurwe at their disposal. All of them are used to the home conditions,” said Ganguly during a promotional event to announce the signing of movie star Amitabh Bachchan as the brand ambassador of the tournament.

Apart from RCB, IPL winners Chennai Super Kings and finalists Mumbai Indians have qualified for the tournament to be held from September 10-26 at four venues — Johannesburg, Centurion, Durban and Port Elizabeth.

All the matches will be telecast on Star Cricket. Ganguly, who will be a commentator for the tournament, said that it would be a challenge for the Indian sides to play in South Africa.

“Playing in South Africa will have an impact as the technicalities will be different, planning will be different,” said Ganguly adding that he  wants underdogs Guyana to do well and go far in the tournament.

The Kolkata Knight Riders skipper also said that it would be a good opportunity for youngsters. “It will give a lot of the young guys a chance to play in tough conditions. Look at what Raina has done after all the exposure he got in the IPL,” he said.

Bachchan picked Mumbai Indians as the team he likes to see win but maintained that he had favourite players in all the three teams. He also made it clear that he had no plans of buying an IPL team. The actor, popularly known as Big B, will be involved in a series of campaigns featuring Ganguly, Andrew Symonds and Herschelle Gibbs, it was announced.
