Mithali Raj's girls record their maiden Test win over England
MUMBAI: Seamer Jhulan Goswami became the first Indian bowler to take 10 wickets in a Test as the women's team recorded their maiden victory over England, and their third overall, beating the hosts by five wickets at Taunton on Friday.
India achieved their victory target of 98 runs by losing half their side on the fourth and final day, registering a memorable series win in the process.
Earlier, Jhulan took 5-45 as England were all out for 307 in their second essay. The 22-year-old from Bengal, who had taken 5-33 in the first innings as England were bowled out for a paltry 99 in reply to India's first innings score of 307, thus finished with figures of 10-78 --the best by an Indian ina Test.
